Saw it yesterday. It was okay, nothing really wrong with it, but nothing great about it either. After seeing Iron Man, it just couldn't compare in any way. A cliche plot with some lame dialogue didn't help. Same with some of the highly unrealistic or absurd stunts and sequences. Felt like a very old school action movie.

If you're an Indiana fan, you'll probably like it. I prefer my memories of the older movies though. I was tired coming into the movie and came out even more tired going out wink.gif.

I loved the first 3 Indy movies and cant say I feel any different about the new one. It was different from the old ones simply in production value I dont think it lost any of its charm tho.

The story line was no worse than any other, the ark of the covenant, the sankara stone, the holy grail and the crystal skull. None sound any wierder than the rest and all have a decent amount of background info from history. I did a little reading on crystal skulls and if what people say about them being perfectly formed / polished etc it boggles the mind where they came from.

But back to the movie, some of the stunts did look a little ott I guess, many people say the water fall scene killed it, but I cant see how this was any different from when they jumped out a plane in a rubber dingy ???

In short its a good fun movie which people are trying to take too seriously I really enjoyed it and will def be getting the DVD.

I didn't have a problem with the waterfall scene actually hehe. I didn't like the kid, well I didn't like him in Transformers either. I also think when you start doing plots with aliens, you need to tread carefully...

Apart from that, I found the lady to be a weak "bad guy". She just wasn't scary or anything and none of the stunts were very cool. The many jokes about Indy being old seemed kinda lame...

This of course may be that I watched Iron Man just a week before, so I guess action wise, I felt really let down.
